RISE fm is committed to revitalizing our programming by giving young and the young at heart a chance to be professional broadcasters by bringing fresh, dynamic content to Mpumalanga’s only commercial station.
In response to the evolving landscape, we introduced a new time slot: “RISE fm Take Your Chance.”
Scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 15:00 to 18:00, RISE fm “Take Your Chance” will serve as a platform to test potential candidates on their ability to deliver captivating content that resonates with the RISE fm listener.

This week’s contestant in RISE fm Take Your Chance, is Siya Mokoena.
Siya Mokoena is a versatile talent based in Mpumalanga’s Highveld area. Despite his youth, he’s achieved quite a bit.
He’s involved in modeling and pageantry, holding various titles and also serving as a judge and coach. Currently, he’s the CEO and Director of The Mr Teen Mpumalanga pageant.
Siya is also dedicated to philanthropy, founding TeachABoyChild, an organization aimed at empowering young men to become positive forces for change.
Professionally, he’s certified as a facilitator, assessor, and moderator by ETDP-SETA. Additionally, he’s an entrepreneur in agriculture, particularly poultry farming.
His voice talents extend to voice-over work, vocal coaching, and he’s an award-winning radio personality and podcaster, comfortable behind the mic.
