RISE fm mourns the passing of former leader, Patrick Bogatsu.

It is with heavy hearts that we at RISE fm announce the passing of our former Station Manager, Patrick Bogatsu. Mr. Bogatsu, who briefly helmed our organization, departed from this world on the 7th of April 2024 at his home in Tsakane, Brakpan.

During his time with RISE fm from October 2019 – 31 March 2022, Patrick Bogatsu brought a unique vision and drive to our company. His leadership, though brief, left an indelible mark on our organization as we navigated through a period of change and transition.

In 2019, Patrick was inducted into the South African Radio Awards Hall of Fame.

While our journey together may have been marked by challenges, we acknowledge his contributions to RISE fm and the impact he had on our station.

We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Bogatsu’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn the loss of their beloved patriarch.

May his soul rest in peace.

May the beautiful soul of Patric Bogatsu rest in perfect peace. Patric was an epitome of a gentle soul, always willing to do good and ready to ride the stormy waves. He applied himself to the fullest whenever given an opportunity to do so. I am certain he has already joined Eddie Zondi and other radio personalities in the radio station on the other side. May the family be comforted.
