Celebrating Excellence and Impact: EPWP Kamoso Awards 2024/25
A celebration of excellence, empowerment, and impact — the EPWP Kamoso Awards 2024/25 honour the individuals and projects driving transformation through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
Hosted annually by the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport, the awards recognise outstanding achievements that have created jobs, developed skills, and improved livelihoods across Mpumalanga.
This year’s ceremony, led by MEC Thulasizwe Thomo, takes place on Thursday, 6 November 2025, at the Sydney Choma Banquet Hall in the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, starting at 17:00. The event will bring together stakeholders, programme leaders, and community representatives to celebrate innovation and excellence in public works.
RISE fm will be in attendance, with Musa Sikhosana hosting a special two-hour edition of #RISEfmIN60MINUTES — capturing the stories, voices, and energy behind this provincial celebration of progress.
The Kamoso Awards continue to highlight the impact of the EPWP in building sustainable communities and strengthening the province’s commitment to inclusive growth.
Honouring those who build livelihoods and shape a working Mpumalanga.
