Exciting New Line Up Coming Soon – July 2016
The radio industry is a business driven by personalities, music and infotainment, and our on air product is delivered by freelance presenters, who are contracted for a specific period, the norm being 12 months.
At the end of every contract period, the line-up is reviewed by the radio station management and changes are made based on what will be best for growing the listenership of the station. Each and every radio station in the country undergoes a similar process at the end of their financial year.
RISE fm is no different. The Fiscal ending 30 June 2016, we find ourselves making these changes, driven by our strategy to create a stronger compelling product that relates to the profile of our listenership.
This repositioning aims to place RISE fm in a stronger commercial position in the province, to take its rightful place as a credible commercial player competing with SABC’s commercial stations broadcasting from Johannesburg. This repositioning has impacted in what we are looking for in our presenter line-up.
Stay tuned for breaking news and more details regarding new presenters and changes on Mpumalanga’s Hottest Radio Station, RISE fm.
We soon also say goodbye with sadness and much appreciation to six of our current presenters. To those leaving us at this moment, we say a very big thank you and to those who will be assuming new roles, we are sure you will serve the station even better and efficiently in your new roles. These are tough decisions not taken lightly, but we are determined to have Mpumalanga taking notice of the young contender in the province, RISE fm. Mpumalanga, Azishe!
